Product Description
The Logophilia Wordsmithery Book contains an almost comprehensive collection of non-technical prefixes and suffixes in English, spread and arranged into many thematic categories. An affix is a word part that is added to a root or combining form. This is a generic term for prefixes and suffixes. The Logophilia Wordsmithery Programme is a very rare vocabulary programme that trains students in the processes that go into the making of thousands of words using affixes. The Logophilia Wordsmithery Book is designed to help the student acquire an erudite understanding of the English Vocabulary. The Logophilia Wordsmithery Book contains affixes from Latin, Greek, Old English, and French, and their derivatives in the following format: an affix (its meaning, and language of origin); and its derivatives (with its etymology, literal definition, and effective definition). There are four derivatives of each of the affix in this Book, and their etymologised meanings. Along with that, there is a list of other derivatives also present. Within each of the derivatives, the affix has been highlighted so that readers can clearly see the connection between the derivative with its affix.
